We’re Shopilist, a startup backed by Mailman in Shanghai committed to transforming the way tourists plan their shopping. Tourism shopping accounts for almost 50% of global holiday spending – that’s a big opportunity.

We believe the way shopping is done when abroad is old, misguided and more often unfulfilled. We’re building a product to change that. By tapping into local insights in city’s all over the world we unlock the secrets to a city’s best shopping – by the people that know.

Why we need you?

We want to build the best product possible. We know it’s not a race, it’s a journey. We’ve started by creating a backend logic and strategy that has us understanding more about city shopping that any platform today – yet we need a forward thinking UX designer to help make our experience as useful as possible.

So what’s your role?

It’s your job to make our mission a reality. By understanding our customers wants, desires and how all of this can be solved with Shopilist –we want to make the process of planning your shopping fun and memorable.

The details of your job are here:

1. Identify problems and find alternative ways to solve it

2. Studying competitive platforms, use cases and presenting solutions

3. Speaking with customers, retailers and team to learn how we can improve

4. Managing development timeframes and meeting design milestones

5. Creating visual wireframes, deisgn mockups and creating a flow for clear product feedback

6. Testing design assumptions through product testing and collecting feedback

You gotta have experience

1. Love to get things done

3. Minimum of 5 years building, designing and creating for the future

4. Have expert knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS

5. Love working with cutting edge technology
